BSG started off as an in-person event that started having smaller weekend events early 2016, that happened every month almost (11 events in 12 months). We started growing, and decided to do 1 yearly event in the summer. Fast forward a few years, and demand has led us to 2 weeklong events per year. Despite being called the Benelux (BElgium, NEtherlands, LUXembourg), we've only held events in the Netherlands as that's where the most people are from, being in multiple places but now situated just outside the most central city in NL, Utrecht.
Our upcoming event is quite soon after GDQ, January 18th to 24th, with a summer event planned in July (dates not revealed/set on yet).
We have always asked the community for input on what charities to support. We didn't crowdfund until 6 events in, and then people were keen on the idea to support cancer research with the KWF (Dutch charity, one of the more popular ones), and recently again in 2020, we're we are now (and still are) crowdfunding for MIND (Not the same as the UK MIND), who support people and those around them with mental help, and to make psychic and mental health somethin that should be spoken about.
They all four looked at the hunter. At how the unicorn waited patiently beside him. At how the fearsome griffin relaxed, staring trustingly at the hunter. By now the three horses, too, had drifted over to stand near the big man. The beasts did not fear him even though he looked so grim, his flesh streaked with dark veins of corruption, his eyes dull and his stance weary. Yet a powerful aura emanated from beneath the smell of dirt, sweat, and grief, a sense of great power smothered beneath a corrosive veil.
“The animals trust him. If we free him from the binding, we can ask him to help us.”
The remaining Elites returned fire, and Kelly bounded forward, plasma flaring at the edge of her shield. She ducked into the side passage.
The instant Kelly was out of the line of fire, Fred shouldered his rifle and squeezed the trigger. A three-round burst caught the next Elite, and its shield sparkled and failed. It twisted away, clutching at the single round that had penetrated its chest.
Vinh fired two single shots, but the Elite's shield held. In unison, Vinh and Fred fired another set of three-round bursts. The Elite dropped to the steel floor in a twisted heap. The last Elite had vanished. No return fire. No sensor contact.-Chpt.14 pgs.167-168
