A thousand more shots rang out from the gallery, and John instinctively crouched to cover his fallen comrade. He braced for the inevitable burning energy impact. Plasma bolts and crystalline needles crisscrossed the galleries overhead, a spiderweb of energy and projectiles. Every shot was directed at the pair of Hunters who had fired upon John
and his team.

The Hunter pair raised their shields in unison and ducked behind them--the quarter-meter-thick slabs of metal could repel almost any single weapon's fire. . . but not this merciless barrage. These mightiest Covenant soldiers burned, their armor and
shields ignited as well, and John caught their outlines for only a split second before they were vaporized.

"What is it, Sergeant?" The Admiral's voice died in his throat. The Master Chief's motion tracker flickered on his heads-up display, but there was no solid contact . . . nor did he see anything across the entire three-kilometer-wide cavern. Had it
picked up a camouflaged Elite? No, the dust in the air would have certainly given it away.-Chpt.20 pg.230

I have adv charge, reactive move, fall back shoot and charge, crit 5s. infiltrators cause Battle shock. Rust stalkers have +2 to adv and +2 to charge. I can charge after getting out of a transport that has moved, the pteraxii move after shooting. I have 2 units that infiltrate and I have 2 units that scout 6. I have sticky obj on rangers. My whole army can have assault +1 WS and (-1 AP near battle line) or heavy +1 to BS and (-1 to be hit in melee near battle line). Hope this helps (1995 points)

A wordless cry. I am flying at him. All of my shock and rage a thin tunnel, unable to even process what I am doing as I am doing it. I hit him across the face, and he smiles at my pain as my fist near shatters in its meeting the immovable object. I try to force him backward over the edge, forgetting that it will take far more than twenty or so feet to kill him. He doesn’t budge. My throbbing hand around his throat. He doesn’t even blink.

Then he gestures. Disdainful. The backhand slams me ten feet into the far wall, raining rubble down on my head. My self-imbuing the only difference between pain and death.

I stagger to my feet and run and swing again through the tears in my eyes, but he moves as if I’m a child, avoiding the blow and then gripping my shoulder. He holds me up, feet dangling, so that my face is level with his. Soulless eyes examining mine.
