Dark Warning 3

They were safe for the moment. But only for the moment. Obi-Wan scanned the hangar. Despite D'harhan's incredible firepower, he knew Fett was the greater threat. Of the two of them, Fett had the cunning.-Chpt.2 pgs.12-13

Laying Hands

14 Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John, 15 who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16 for he had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit. 18 Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money, 19 saying, “Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” 20 But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

Fett had paid a small fortune to have the unwitting fool tagged with one of his special microscopic subdermal trackers back on Inat Prime. It was a wise investment. -Pg.45

IG-88 followed Boba Fett out of the Zio Snaffkin cantina. The assassin droid did not know how Fett had tracked Solo to Dennogra, but Fett was extremely good at such things. And since IG-88 was uncertain about his own next move, he decided to keep an eye on Fett. Like many spaceports in the Outer Rim, Zio Snaffkin had a skyline of low-level industrial buildings. Boba Fett had parked his ship, Slave I, behind the cantina. As he approached Slave I, the roar of two descending starships caused him to halt. Recognizing the two ships, Fett did not move as he watched them land. Captivator was a sleek vessel with a powerful engine. It belonged to a Trandoshan bounty hunter named Bossk, a three-toed, three-fingered reptilian alien. His favorite weapon was his blaster rifle and his favorite targets were Wookiees. The other ship was flown by Dengar, a human bounty hunter with a bandaged head and a bad reputation. Dengar claimed to have won his ship in a sabacc game, but Boba Fett knew that Dengar had stolen the vehicle.
Bossk and Dengar climbed out of their ships and approached Boba Fett. IG-88, watching from an alley behind the cantina, aimed an antenna in the direction of the gathered bounty hunters. If the three organics said anything, IG-88 would be able to hear them.

"So, the mighty Boba Fett got here first!" Bossk taunted.

"Someone's accessing the main control units on Sub-Level 3." He called up the data. "See? He's using
a code from last month, and the computer flagged it. "It has to be Fett. He's trying to shut us down." Xarran contemplated his response. "Send three squads down to... no, wait. Seal off that room immediately. We'll flood it with Chemtrox gas and that will be the last of our little bounty hunter." Tyrix's voice lowered. "But what if it's not him...? And even if it is he could have some technicians―Xarran pushed the Commander out of the way. His fingers flew over the console and a smile slowly dawned on his face. Fett was shutting down systems and there was no time for moral debate. The race was on again and this time Xarran would win.

Fett whirled around as the heavy blast doors sealed and locked. He was effectively trapped. So, they finally discovered his trick and now knew where he was. It certainly took them long enough. Of course it was too late. Fett was about to cut the power. He was so absorbed in his work that he almost missed it... luckily, his sound sensors picked up the recessed vents clicking open and the slow, steady hiss of gas being pumped into the room. A quick scan revealed the substance to be Chemtrox-an extremely lethal agent. Fett had heard it
delivered a particularly painful death. He didn't intend to find out firsthand if the rumors were true. Fett activated his armor's enviro filter seal. It protected him from harmful or deadly atmosphere and there was a two-hour supply of air. As the Chemtrox gas swirled around him Fett prepared to shut down the main computer. -Pgs.41-42

Boba Fett Hunted 3

"So this is your army, eh, Gilramos?" He looked dismissively at the droids, then walked over and nudged a small girl with his blaster. "Thieving children and a handful of droids?" Boba watched him. If I only had a weapon, he thought. I could free us all! But could he? He glanced past where Gilramos held tightly to him. There were crates of weaponry everywhere. One stray blast, and the whole place would become a weapon! Wait a minute, Boba thought. From the corner of his eye he saw someone move. Not a droid. Not Gilramos, either. Ygabba. She stood near a pile of crates. Her head turned. She looked desperately at Boba. Immediately he knew what to do. "Ygabba!" he shouted. "Lead them out! Run - NOW!" At the same time that Boba yelled, he flattened himself against the floor. With a roar, Durge turned. There was a flare of light from his blaster. Boba kicked at Gilramos. The Neimoidian shrieked, then tried to grab him. The droids surged forward. Too late! Boba was free! He slammed himself to the floor. Above him Durge's blast struck Gilramos. The Neimoidian fell. Another blast struck a droid with a muted explosion as the others tried to blast Durge. "This way!" Ygabba shouted. "Fast!" Like a flock of birds, the children scattered. Ygabba stood by an opening and yelled at them. Children raced everywhere. They dove through holes in the walls. They clambered through gaps in the ceiling. Everywhere glowing eyes shimmered and shone as the children yanked one another to safety.

All but Boba. "Now you!" Durge roared. Another blast roared from his weapon as a droid strode toward him. The droid fell, and Durge laughed. "You're next!" he cried, and aimed at Boba. Boba glanced back. He saw Gilramos crawling across the floor. His hat was beside him. Neimoidians place huge value on their hats. Boba knew that. They represent power and prestige. No Neimoidian would ever be without one. Not unless he was dead. Boba grabbed the hat. Gilramos gave a desperate cry. "No!" Boba turned. Another voice rose from the room. "Boba!" He looked up. All of the children were gone except for Ygabba. She stood by the open passage, waving at him. Beside her rose a pile of weapons. "This way!" she shouted. Boba clutched Gilramos's hat to him. He looked down at Durge, surrounded by the remaining battle droids. Boba reached for the ignition of his jet pack. He jammed it as hard as he could. He flew. "You die!" bellowed Durge. He swung around, the droids forgotten. His blasters pointed at Boba. Boba soared above him. He swooped down, one arm reaching for Ygabba. "Grab hold!" Boba shouted. She grabbed his hand. In front of him was the passage leading from the chamber. Behind him were Durge and the

Neimoidian's droids. "Hold tight!" Boba yelled. He flew toward the pile of weapons. At the last possible instant, he swerved, zooming into the tunnel.

A New Threat 6

Though it was also sort of cool, in a horrible way. He stared at a huge fungi that looked like a bloated jellyfish. It pulsed and belched clouds of purple-black smoke as Boba's ship hovered above it. Only it wasn't smoke, but spores. "That's what the fog is," Boba realized in amazement. "Not mist, or clouds but billions and billions of mushroom spores! I wonder if it's safe to breathe?" Quickly he logged into the ship's medical computer and read the data there.

"It is recommended that you take an antidote before setting foot on Xagobah, as a precaution. Most of the fungi are harmless, but some have toxins that can be fatal if swallowed or breathed. Others can cause changes to non-native biological entities."

"Like me?" asked Boba, as he took a small inhaler out of his med kit. Boba breathed in the antidote, then tossed the empty inhaler.-Chpt.7

Rivo let out a nervous giggle. "I told you... he's coming for me." Xarran ignored him. "Commander, send out two detachments. If this bounty hunter is indeed here, then I want him found and brought before me. Preferably alive... although a body will do just fine." Tyrix swiveled his chair around to face the General. "Two detachments, sir?" "For just one man?" Xarran's face did not so much as twitch. "I'm sorry. Commander, did you say something?" "No, sir," Tyrix said, hurriedly swiveling back to his console to activate the comlink. -Pg.16

Fett sat in the hunter's blind among a thick tangle of coilwood branches. He watched as the first wave of speeder bikes roared below him, buzzing along like bloodgnats. He felt the impact tremors as a pair of Imperial walkers lumbered by flanked by half dozen of their comical AT-ST counterparts. He shook his head in amazement as squad after squad of stormtroopers marched into the underbrush. Their bright white armor was not exactly the best forest camouflage. This massive show of force told the bounty hunter all he needed to know about his opponents... Two detachments meant they certainly knew he was here. And they were nervous. Behind the tinted faceplate of his battered helmet. Boba Fett actually smiled. -Pg.17

Dorcas

39 So Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they took him to the upper room. All the widows stood beside him weeping and showing tunics and other garments that Dorcas made while she was with them. 40 But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. 41 And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then, calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive. 42 And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
