This is part of my command history to install Espanso on a Bazzite VM:
Utilise at your own risk!

   10  sudo rpm-ostree install terra-release                 # failed, suggested try "--allow-inactive" flag
   12  sudo rpm-ostree install terra-release --allow-inactive
   13  systemctl reboot
   15  sudo rpm-ostree install espanso-wayland
   16  systemctl reboot
   17  which espanso
   18  sudo setcap "cap_dac_override+p" $(which espanso)     # didn't work, but not needed apparently
   19  espanso --version
   20  espanso start --unmanaged
