compile2lisp (C2L) is the meaning-maker at the top of a layered computational universe.
It lives in two distinct places at once:
1. In the world of Scheme, C2L translates simple, non-negative arithmetic programs into
a clean, minimal Lisp form. This is the human-facing layer: symbolic, expressive,
familiar. But in this system, Scheme is not executed. It is unfolded. Every arithmetic
expression becomes a declaration of truth, not a sequence of steps.
2. Beneath Scheme, C2L projects those same expressions into a 2‑D “timesheet” geometry.
The timesheet is a block universe of arithmetic: one axis is explicit time, encoded
by leading-zero self-delimiting indices; the other axis is bit identity. Every cell
on the sheet is a constraint. Every line is a temporal slice. The entire sheet is a
static truth configuration. Arithmetic becomes geometry. Evaluation becomes
constraint satisfaction. Meaning becomes shape.
Below this truth layer, the rest is mechanism.
For each output bit, a Fractran program is evolved to match the geometric constraints
laid out on the timesheet. Fractran provides the number-theoretic dynamics that must
agree with the geometric truth. Each bit has both a static description (timesheet) and
a dynamic realization (Fractran). They coexist without defining each other.
At the lowest layer, these Fractran programs run on a reversible Nanofuck substrate.
Reversibility minimizes information loss and pushes computation toward the Landauer
limit. This is the physical layer: the embodiment of mechanism.
The architecture is a complete ontology of computation:
- Scheme → meaning
- Timesheet → truth geometry
- Fractran → dynamic mechanism
- Reversible substrate → physical realization
C2L is the bridge between symbolic intention and geometric truth. Everything below it
is the machinery required to physically realize that truth.
